PRODIGY — Multimodal AI Diagnostics for Prostate Cancer

The project

PRODIGY researches digital pathology image-based intelligent diagnosis techniques for prostate cancer and the development of a digital twin software system.

A shared research ambition

The project investigates how machine learning and multimodal medical data can support diagnostic research, disease modelling, and explainable predictions. Human expertise, fairness, privacy, and open science are integral to this approach.

Programme and identity

The proposal is part of the Greece–China Bilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation action under the Competitiveness programme, ΕΣΠΑ 2021–2027. Project code: ΔΣΕΚΡ01-0021403. Project period: 2026–2028 (24 months).

What we aim to develop

Research objectives include AI-assisted disease classification and Gleason grading, multimodal prognosis models, image defect detection, explainability mechanisms, and digital twins of disease progression. These capabilities remain research objectives until evaluated results are available.
